The genre of popular reality television shows collects large audiences. At its inception, was to make a spectacle of everyday events, today, this genre has resulted in several other ways. They differ from reality magazine specifically celebrity or the competitions. 
The magazine addresses issues scandalous reality or dramatic unknown persons representing the company at the time, and that through an interview expose private affairs under the strategy of spectacular, showing how striking provoking curiosity of the viewer. There are reality magazines also fit a situation in order to provoke a violent rivalry among the guests verbally, in an attempt to hit over the audience. The reality shows-famous, is a sub-genre similar, but guests are public figures, famous for artistic merit or known to the company. In spite of these spaces are offered for information, after all, have the same technique of "spectacle" but by people who themselves are already a complaint to the public. A third variant of reality-show, is the reality-competition program in which, in the form of competition, displays the personal development of each member and how to interact with each other. Contestants must compete in this struggle and are left to see the strengths and weaknesses of each, thus generating again the spectacle. This format, since almost a decade ago and was introduced in Spain, obtaining a great success. Big Brother was the pioneer.
